Recipe for making Asian style fish ceviche
One way to make a ceviche different from the traditional one is to give it an Asian touch. This is easily achieved: some grated ginger, sesame oil and in this case, green mango.
Together with my friend and expert pastry chef Ana Irina, we made this recipe, accompanied by fried green plantain, that is doing very well.
Asian style fish ceviche
- 200 grams of sole, chopped in medium squares
- Juice of a lemon
- 1 or 2 sweet peppers cut in julienne (you can use spicy if it provokes you)
- A piece of grated ginger
- Half green mango, also in julienne strips
- Half purple onions in julienne strips
- Cilantro
- Salt
- Pepper
- A stream of sesame oil
The preparation is the classic recipe for making fish ceviche: in a bowl you mix all the ingredients starting with the jengi bre and lemon, then the fish and immediately everything else. Finally the magic touch: a generous stream of sesame oil (sesame).
Serve it just mix everything so that the fish does not overcook.
You can accompany this fish-style ceviche Asian with toasted corn or tostones (fried green banana) freshly made, as we did in this case.
